Galatasaray’s Vice President Metin Öztürk made statements following the draw for the Trendyol Super Lig 2026/2027 season fixtures.

“In previous years, I also attended the fixture draw. I said the same thing then. We will compete against 17 esteemed opponents. Everyone’s goal is the championship. Galatasaray has built a squad suitable for this. Under Dursun Özbek’s leadership, we have been champions for four years. This season, Galatasaray is the most important candidate, the favorite for the championship. We are shaping our squad accordingly, focusing both on the league and the Champions League. After that, the Turkey Cup follows. All our preparations are currently progressing in this direction. It doesn’t matter much which matches we play at home or away because we will face all 17 teams. If you want to be champion, you must climb to the top one by one. Today we drew number 1, which signifies that, God willing, we will also be champions this year.
