Fatih Terim, one of Galatasaray’s legendary coaches, made noteworthy statements to the Italian press ahead of the match where Galatasaray will host Juventus in the UEFA Champions League play-off round.

QUESTION: “Emperor, how do you see the European battle between Galatasaray and Juventus?”

“I think this is the best playoff match in the Champions League. It’s a very exciting, highly anticipated, captivating match. If I had a neutral perspective, I would definitely want to watch the match in Istanbul, not any other match. Every match between Gala and Juve has its own story, including the matches I participated in in 1998 and 2003. Juventus was one of the most special opponents in my career. We also achieved a fantastic 3-3 draw with Fiorentina in Turin. I think the key word for this match will be “intensity.” Galatasaray, especially in Champions League matches, wants to play a high-paced game initiated by Osimhen up front and continued with the support of midfielders. Considering Juventus’ recent style of play, I expect a very tough battle on the field in terms of football. Galatasaray is my life. I will support “CimBom” with all my heart.”
